Robert Baumgartner
An award winning illustrator and sculpture, Robert Baumgartner combines these talents and his fierce love of nature in his latest line of wood and bronze art.
His work has been honored by the Chicago's Art Institute in a personal retrospective show in 1980.
He has enjoyed an award-winning career as an illustrator of children's books including "Tales of a Fox," which was selected as outstanding book illustration at the Chicago Four National Media Show in 1970.
As an architectural illustrator, Mr. Baumgartner produces beautiful pen and ink drawings of homes for architects, realtors, builders, and private clients. His work was most recently featured in the 2006 Luxury Home Tour Chicago, and can be seen at www.rbaumgartner.com.
Mr. Baumgartner grew up in Naperville and attended Northern Illinois University and the University of Wisconsin at Madison where he earned an MA in print-making, illustration, jewelry and art history. He is married with eight children and seven grandchildren. He currently lives in rural Blackberry Township outside of Elburn, IL. |
